Mega Evolution is an additional temporary form of evolution of certain Pokemon that have reached the final stage of evolution. The Pokemon’s attack power will increase, but its HP value remains the same. Certain Pokemon can also change their type after undergoing Mega Evolution. In the online game Pokemon GO, Mega Evolution is a permanent development of the Pokemon that is recorded in the Pokedex collection.
Pokemon that have received Mega Evolution can still be used as Buddy Pokemon and can fight at PokeStops or Gyms to win over the team’s area of power. However, there are provisions that Pokemon with Mega Evolution cannot defend Gyms, cannot be traded, cannot be given power ups, and cannot join GO Battle League matches.
Pokemon Mega Evolution
In general, to evolve Pokemon, you need a predetermined amount of candy for each type of Pokemon. However, to achieve Mega Evolution, trainers need Mega Energy in the Pokemon. In undergoing the Mega Evolution process, Pokemon will be in Mega Form for 8 hours as a rest period after the validity period expires. Please note that only 1 Pokemon trainer can become a Mega Evolution Pokemon. If another Pokemon has achieved Mega Evolution, that Pokemon will return to its standard form and enter a rest period. Pokemon can also be Mega Evolved in the raid lobby or Trainer Battle preparation screen.
If there are Pokemon that have different Mega Evolution forms, trainers can choose one of them to perform Mega Evolution. For example, this Pokemon can be seen in Pokemon Charizard. Every Mega Evolved Pokemon will be listed for the first time in the Mega & Primal Pokedex. Clone Pokemon or Shadow Pokemon cannot become Mega Evolution. However, once a Shadow Pokemon is purified, it can Mega Evolve, but does not have an aura or white costume when Mega Evolved.
Mega Energy For Mega Evolution
Mega Energy is an energy rock that helps certain Pokemon gain Mega Evolutions. Each type of Pokemon has its own Mega Energy that cannot be used or shared with other Pokemon. Mega Energy has a maximum limit of 9999. Mega Energy for certain types can be obtained by fighting certain Pokemon in Mega Raids, special Tier of Raid Battles or by completing research tasks. Completing Mega Raids in a shorter time will produce more Mega Energy. Mega Energy is awarded after the raid is completed and there is no need to capture the Raid Boss. The data shown below applies to most Mega Raids. Mega Rayquaza is an exception; it uses the same number as the Primal Energy of the Primal Strike.
Buddy Pokemon can gain 5 Mega Energy per km of walking, if they were previously part of a Mega-Evolved Pokemon Evolution line. For example, if Mega Slowbro has been listed in the Pokedex, Slowpoke, Slowbro, Slowking, or any Galarian form can gain Mega Energy when assigned as a Buddy Pokemon.
Mega Evolution of Pokemon for the first time requires large amounts of Mega Energy. The next Mega Evolution of a Pokemon does not require any more Mega Energy if its rest time has ended. Mega Energy can be used to pass rest time. Mega Energy costs will gradually decrease as rest time decreases. Mega Evolutions of other Pokemon of the same species still require full charge. Pokémon like Charizard have two Mega Forms, both of which must be unlocked at full cost first.
